We had a fantastic holiday with Peter. He is a really good art teacher, very
knowledgeable about art and the area we stayed in. We visited some lovely places
with chance to paint them if we wanted. The whole region is very picturesque.
Peter was an excellent host and we were well looked after. He made us feel
very much at home. We had a few nights out and a few home cooked meals.
Altogether an enjoyable time, and I was sorry to leave.
My second visit to Peter in France included my two close
friends Jenny and Mike from his art classes. The weather had improved from
previous and it gave us the opportunity to travel further afield. Peter has a
knack of finding the best places to fish and the most stunning to paint. So our
first picture was along a flowing river, each of us choosing our own spot to
paint, and Peter walked from one to the other advising , supporting and helping
to complete our work. As a teacher he is incredible, very patient and he sees
everything as achievable, and he's always right. We all were surprised and
pleased at our finished paintings, all done in pastels. Our second pictures we
chose to do from his own beautiful garden, especially around his hammock
shadowed by 3 gigantic silver birch trees. What at first appeared a major
challenge, turned out with his constant support , to be far easier than the
river. These also were a triumph since the sun was in and out throughout so
changing the colours from light to dark in an instant.
Peter has 3 loves, painting, fishing, and his 3rd is
passing on his skills successfully to those who want to learn from him. You will
be astounded at what you can achieve under his teaching.
Peter is a wonderful host too. All are welcome in his
home, a typical old French house in which he's kept it's identity.
If you want to learn more about painting using many
different mediums, or are simply starting from scratch, or maybe you wish to
fish ( a catch guaranteed !! ), then give Peter a call and book your leisure
time with him , whether it be for a weekend, a day or a week, you will have a
truly wonderful, unforgettable time with mementos, photos or videos to return
home with. Some things in life are priceless, a holiday with Peter us one of
them.
