Angling
Holidays from Le Paradou - and Specimens
We
provide the accommodation, ideal venue, advice of where to find
other wonderful spots and species, assist with obtaining licences
( you will need a passport photo - yearly full, inc trout, is
app. €60.00 - from June a temp licence is €40.00 ).
We can provide a guide - tuition or assistance, use of a boat
is free with booking, and if required will rent you basic tackle
(rods, reel, line, but not terminal tackle). There are good tackle
shops in the area. Picnics and evening meals are by order with
two menus to choose from. BUT the fish are wild and a challenge
plus we cannot control the weather!

The river Lot at Le Paradou
and lakes and rivers of the surrounding area offer superb fishing
for most freshwater species, not only variety but quality! These
first three photos shown here of Carp, Barbel and Chub are in
Mark's first week of fishing here! There are, also, Zander, Tench,
Bream, Roach, Rudd, Nase, Wells Catfish, Perch, Largemouth Bass,
Sunbass, Pike, Barbel, Chub and Trout.

There is excellent brown
trout fishing just 45 mins away at Lac de Picades, €15.00
3 fish a day - also wild trout in the river and streams around
here. (June - sept.) Also specimen trout in the local rivers -
April onwards, with small lively, wild, trout in the mountain
streams.

Transport
Either from Rodez Rail
Station or Airport - €25.00 for the car max 4 passengers
- the journey. (Normal rates €80.00 one way by local taxi!)
Accomodation

Advanced booking is very
important especially mid - season - and if not available other
local accomodation will be offered and advised at higher cost.
The caravan is another option for anglers - two double beds -
€25.00 p.n. and gives ideal close view to rods directly fished!
